In a bid to try and post more regular content I thought it would be fun to start doing a monthly round up of some of my favourite things.
This months round up comes courtesy of some of the lovely things I was given for Christmas (I’m a lucky lady!)
Whistles Jumper – I’d had my eye on this for a little while. It’s such a lightweight jumper it’s perfect for this balmy weather we’ve being having over the last few months. It’s so good for layering or for wearing on it’s own. Plus who doesn’t love a good slogan piece? I know it will see me through these next few winter months and well into Spring. Unfortunately I can’t see this on their website anymore…however I also own this little beauty which is very similar and just as fun.
Ell & Cee Lingerie – I’ve swooned over this brand for so long! They do such beautiful lingerie from bridal pieces to luxe lounge ware. Brett clearly knows me very well as he got me the exact robe I had been cooing over for (literally) months. Not that I was hinting…. I was so excited when I peeled back the wrapping paper and saw the Ell & Cee logo and the beautiful packaging. The robe itself is stunning! I urge you to check out this brand if you don’t already know them.
Kiehl’s Rare Earth Deep Poor Cleansing Masque & Ultra Facial Cleanser – I love Kiehl’s, I’ve being using their products for a while now and they never fail to disappoint. First up, the cleansing masque. This masque promises to draw out oil, dirt and toxins that clog pores. It without a doubt does exactly what it says on the tin. My skin felt SO clean after using it! This is hands down a new skin care staple for me. The only thing I would say is I can imagine over using it could cause skin to dry out. It’s recommended use is once or twice a week. I’ll be airing on the side of caution and using it once a week.
Next up the cleanser. The best thing about this is how gentle it is. I have sensitive skin (as well as oily – yay!) and there have been so many occasions where my skin has been left bright red after using an apparent ‘gentle cleanser’. Not a good look. However the ultra facial cleanser is mild enough not to irritate my skin and I’m still left feeling thoroughly cleansed. Win!
Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation – I bought this foundation after seeing Liv (from whatolivadid) using it in one of her vlogs. I had been after a new foundation for a while but struggled finding one I liked enough to invest in. However after seeing Liv demo the double wear foundation I decided to pop along to an Estee Lauder make up counter for a colour match and sample. I was hooked after day one and quickly noted this down on my Christmas list from my mum (because we all still do that, right?) The coverage is excellent and really does last the day. I can see myself using this for a long time…
Ciate Olivia Palermo Limited Edition The Cheekbone Cheat Duo – I also took my inspiration for this beautiful blusher after seeing Liv (whatoliviadid) raving about it on her vlog. I was sold on the packaging before anything else (isn’t that always the way?!) but the blush/bronzer duo ARE worth investing in. A little goes a long way and your cheeks will be left looking bright and sun kissed -perfect to get me through these next few chilly months!
