Liverpool – Hard Days Night Hotel

Last weekend Brett and I took a  trip up to Liverpool to visit some good friends of ours. Now, I was hoping to put together a mini Liverpool guide but I ended up being too busy catching up with friends (over beer, pizza & wedding talk) to even think about anything else. However I do want to talk about our hotel, we stayed at the Hard Days Night Hotel, a four star Beatles inspired hotel in the heart of Liverpool. If you’re thinking ‘a themed hotel, I’m not so sure?’ Then bare with me. A Hard Days Night is a gorgeous grade II listed building dating back to 1884. The hotel boasts 110 rooms all individually designed to an extremely high standard….with one of the comfiest beds I’ve ever had the pleasure of sleeping in!

Neither myself or Brett are huge Beatles fans but that didn’t stop us marvelling at the gorgeous building and the even more impressive spiral staircase at the centre of the hotel showcasing historical Beatles photographs. For those real Beatles buffs out there then the hotel is adjacent the world famous Cavern Club where The Beatles played over 300 times and eventually rose to fame; a must for any fan.

We stayed in a delux balcony room a which offered up all the mod cons you would expect from a four star hotel; a stunning bathroom with both a luxurious bath and waterfall shower, a separate dressing room and a TV showing sky sports (Brett was very happy about that). As if that wasn’t enough we also had a balcony boasting superb views of the city skyline. What better way is there to view a city skyline than from the comfort of your very own balcony?

If you’re planning a visit to Liverpool any time soon (Beatles fan or not) then make sure a Hard Days Night is your hotel of choice – you won’t regret it!
