The Autumn Edit – Coats

thecoatedit_edited-1

I’m writing this from my bed with a cup of tea watching the rain trickle down the window – Autumn is here (let’s ignore the mini heatwave forecast for next week). To celebrate the seasons changing and the fact that we all know dressing for autumn is the best I thought I would put together the ultimate Autumn Edit; throughout September I’m going to be showcasing staples we all need to see us through these next few months as the temperatures dip and the nights draw in.

First up, coats!

Let’s all take a moment to swoon over this pretty scalloped coat from Cos. Isn’t it gorgeous? Plus it’s the perfect shade of Navy to see you right the way through winter, too!

It was love at first sight when I clocked this blush babe from Whistles. Whilst I normally stick to camels, greys and blues when it comes to choosing a coat I love the idea of throwing in pretty shades of pink for autumn!

A classic camel cocoon coat is a must in anyones autumn wardrobe and this beauty from French Connection does not disappoint.

I searched high and low for a stylish grey coat last year and for the life of me could not find one I liked, however this gorgeous blazer style coat from Cos may just be the one!

Another cocoon coat, this time from River Island. I love the deep orange colour of this coat, perfect for keeping warm during a long walk on a crisp autumnal day.

Maybe not the most practical for the unpredictable British weather but I absolutely love this faux fur leopard print coat from & Other Stories.

Have you got your autumn coat yet?

Stay tuned for the boot edit next week!
